We are no longer offering a delivery/meet up service. Orders can be picked up from our location in Littlehampton, SA, 5250 (Near Hahndorf/Mount Barker), we will send you an SMS with the address & pick up details once your order is ready. We can provide a contact-less, or minimal contact pick up.
We don’t provide cake tastings for our cakes. As many of our loyal customers already tried our cakes over 3 yrs of sales through our local cafe Brother Bear.
Unfortunately we no longer supply our cakes to the cafe, however, occasionally we will create a random cake tasting box sales with a mixture of flavours through our Facebook & Instagram @bloominghillscake, so keep an eye on these if you wish to taste a few different styles at once. Please contact us if you want to be on the waiting list so we can contact you when it becomes available.
Due to the nature of our business, we cannot in good conscience use bulk pre-mixes. Many of these factory-made cake mixes contain one or more allergy triggering ingredient. (e.g. Egg, Milk, Soy, Nut, Wheat, as well as unknown numbered additives).
We make all – cakes, fillings, cream, toppings and even sprinkles. We know what goes into our cakes and we are proud of it.
Unfortunately we are unable to arrange fresh flowers due to food safety reasons – Small insects, leaky sap, toxicity of the plants, pollen…etc.
For any floral decoration – We use freeze dried edible flowers (organically grown in VIC for culinary purpose). These flowers are as vibrant as fresh flowers, food safe and no need to worry about wilting.
We are more than happy to supply you a fully iced cake according to your design request, please talk to your florist about which flowers are safe to use on cakes, as not all flowers are appropriate for cake decoration. Some flowers are naturally toxic for consumption and others are inappropriate because of pesticide use.
Please keep your cake refrigerated and in the freezer for any leftovers. It is best to consume as soon as possible as cake texture and flavour will change very fast in the fridge, due to the nature of additive and gluten free ingredients.
While serving, ganache and buttercream will tend to stick to the knife when cutting your cake, making it difficult to get nice clean slices. To achieve clean cuts (and the maximum number of serves), use a sharp (not serrated) knife, dipped in hot water and wiped dry before each cut.
We make sure that we don’t take too many orders so we can put 100% into every cake we create. We are usually booked out 6 weeks ahead of time.
Ideally, wedding cakes should be ordered at least 4-6 months in advance, other celebrations should allow 6-8 weeks notice to be sure you can book a spot just in case we are busy.
However we try our best to accommodate last minute orders if possible, please note that any orders with under 2 weeks notice will incur a short notice fee.

We can take payment via *credit card & bank transfer.
*2.2% credit card payment surcharge applies.
– Standard orders : cancellation with 3 weeks notice s -> FULL REFUND
– Custom cakes, Tier cakes, Design cakes, large orders : cancellation with 6 weeks notice -> FULL REFUND
– NO REFUND will be given under any circumstances if cancellation is made less than stated period of times above.
In the event of a COVID-19 lockdown or natural disaster – We will provide a credit note for the orders for anything announced by the State or Federal Government. e.g. “LOCKDOWN” PLEASE NOTE an individual COVID 19 case is NOT included. – e.g. If an event is cancelled by a close contact or an individual confirmed case.
We take our bookings months in advance to plan out our year, a cancellation means we have missed the chance to offer our service to another customer. Please kindly understand that our refund policy is strict.
All of our products are GLUTEN FREE, Vegan friendly, Soy free, *Nut free (*unless otherwise stated) and we also have refined sugar free options. We may be able to cater for other allergies or dietary requirements (e.g. Fructose intolerance). However, we are unable to create Paleo or Keto friendly cakes, because most of our cakes contain grain based flours.
All of our products are made from gluten free ingredients, baked & created in a dedicated bloominghills only kitchen.
We take our hygiene and your dietary requirements very seriously. However, due to the bespoke nature of our business and other limitations, we are unable to test every product we create – our products are NOT tested for Gluten or other allergens.
We will try our best to help where possible, please let us know ASAP if you need to change anything.
