Pastel wreath sweet blossom
Custom designed cake with various flowers and a ruffled icing to boot. Each flower hand crafted in typical Bloominghills fashion.
Pastel, warm and bright cake theme was requested, we kept flower colours soft and clean.

Often soft colours can be seem abit washed out when paired with a light icing colour. So we chose various shapes and sizes of flower including dahlia, rose, peony, and scabiosa raising them up high to provide a visual break. Sometimes it is not all about the colour, the appearance and texture can give enough interest to draw your eyes.
This mixture of flowers has been arranged in wreath shape on the top leaving some room for a fresh fruit compote, or custom topper.
So we decided to do something different for this one, here is another gorgeous icing technique, the ruffled look icing. We thought it absolutely fit with this cake theme, so natural and soft feel, it almost looked like a flower basket!
