Succulent cake, Sweet Blossom
This week at Bloominghills we tried something a little bit different, something not many traditional cake makers would do, but we have been very curious how the this would turn out…
…. and this is how we put our (Vegan buttercream) succulents on our cake.
Succulents are fascinating, they are very delicate but agile. They always look nice when they are in a group, and the colour!
Speaking of colour, we have to admit, it was a hard call. They have such a different feel of green; some are greyish, whitish, dark green, bright green and list goes on and on. Creating this without any artificial food colouring was a bit of a challenge, (if you are interested in how we make these colours? Please click About us to find out) It is missing that very “bright” feel, but we are very happy with the result.
Have you got a friend or someone in the family who loves succulents?
These little buttercream succulents can be decorated on little “pot” like cupcakes (Just like the real ones, haha!) or they can be decorated with any other arrangement. Please feel free to send through some photos of succulents that you want to see on the cake and we will try our best! to match them.
